Much of the cosmetic industry’s research is carried out on animals.  Of all animal testing carried out in the U.S. today, only 27% is used to further medical research—the other 73% is conducted to promote consumer products. That is absolutely heartless.

The Leaping Bunny label refers to products that have been certified animal testing free and cruelty free by the Coalition For Consumer Information On Cosmetics, a nonprofit alliance that helps consumers choose products in which no animals were used in any way nor harmed in animal testing.

Can you imagine being sprayed in the eyes with harsh soap every day of your life for hours at a time while people gather to watch and write the results in a notebook?
