Ever try going up against the “big guys?” We have found that it is not as insurmountable as one might think – especially when you have a genius who has a scientific mind, has formulated some of the safest and most effective beauty products in the world – and she just happens to be my wife.
Hot off the press! The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics announced today that Nurture My Body is 1 of only 321 cosmetics companies in the entire world (they are called “Champions”) that have met the goals of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics, the Campaign’s voluntary pledge to avoid chemicals banned by health agencies outside the U.S. and to fully disclose product ingredients – a pioneering practice in the cosmetics industry.
“These companies have truly broken the mold. They are leading the cosmetics industry toward safety, showing it’s possible to make products with full transparency and without using hazardous chemicals,” said Janet Nudelman, program director of the Breast Cancer Fund, a founding member of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.
Nurture My Body, a provider of certified organic products, has announced that it will donate 2% of all retail sales of its fragrance free skin care products to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

As consumers, what we purchase is an extension of our ethics, financial state, and in a sense, our personalities. While no human being is so one-dimensional that he truly falls into the “I am therefore I buy” mantra, we are in a sense remotely defined by our purchasing decisions. When you’re buying something, you’re probably not necessarily thinking about the earth or corporate politics or what kind of gentleman that bar of soap will make you; but one thing is true: if you’re informed, you can always choose better and smarter. That’s why if we find a product with a truly amazing story or something that we find is a “smart” product, we’ll share it with you and investigate the why.

Ann: Organic Diva is an online retailer of non-toxic personal care products. Founded under the premise that “Some men and some makeup aren’t good enough for you,” Organic Diva has the strictest criteria for the products we allow on our site. We only carry those companies and products who share our standards and mission–companies like our favorite Nurture My Body.
My name is Patty Kerr, and I want to use this space to begin telling you some things about myself and the business that I run along with my husband, Rich.
We’ve been in business since June, 2006, and in all that time, nothing like this has EVER happened before. This is a big one for us, and we were so floored by this wonderful act of kindness to Mother Earth and to us that we just knew it deserved more than just a short little mention.
