Nurture My Body Named Champion by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics
December 1st, 2011November 30, 2011
Ever try going up against the “big guys?” We have found that it is not as insurmountable as one might think – especially when you have a genius who has a scientific mind, has formulated some of the safest and most effective beauty products in the world – and she just happens to be my wife.
Hot off the press! The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics announced today that Nurture My Body is 1 of only 321 cosmetics companies in the entire world (they are called “Champions”) that have met the goals of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics, the Campaign’s voluntary pledge to avoid chemicals banned by health agencies outside the U.S. and to fully disclose product ingredients – a pioneering practice in the cosmetics industry.
“These companies have truly broken the mold. They are leading the cosmetics industry toward safety, showing it’s possible to make products with full transparency and without using hazardous chemicals,” said Janet Nudelman, program director of the Breast Cancer Fund, a founding member of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.
Rather outstanding, don’t you think? We certainly do.

Rich Arnold Tells All In Guy.com Interview
October 20th, 2011Somehow Guy.com found me. They are a great new site for guys only, and I had the utmost pleasure working with their amazingly creative and talented Managing Editor, Andrea Rothe. Here’s what happened . . .

Rich Arnold, Co-owner of Nurture My Body
As consumers, what we purchase is an extension of our ethics, financial state, and in a sense, our personalities. While no human being is so one-dimensional that he truly falls into the “I am therefore I buy” mantra, we are in a sense remotely defined by our purchasing decisions. When you’re buying something, you’re probably not necessarily thinking about the earth or corporate politics or what kind of gentleman that bar of soap will make you; but one thing is true: if you’re informed, you can always choose better and smarter. That’s why if we find a product with a truly amazing story or something that we find is a “smart” product, we’ll share it with you and investigate the why.

What Makeup And Sunscreen Does Patty of Nurture My Body Use?
June 4th, 2010Many of you are always asking what sunscreen and makeup does Patty use? We would like to introduce to you a wonderful online store where Patty shops for her Makeup and Sunscreen needs. Organic Diva is run by Ann Garrity and Maureen Edwards, two very wonderful sisters. Did we mention they also carry Nurture My Body products? And how much fun we have working with them because they’re quite hilarious?
We know you will enjoy our interview with Ann and if you choose to go there to shop you can expect excellent customer service, safe products and perhaps a side ache from laughing!
Patty: Can you let us know about your store Organic Diva?
Ann: Organic Diva is an online retailer of non-toxic personal care products. Founded under the premise that “Some men and some makeup aren’t good enough for you,” Organic Diva has the strictest criteria for the products we allow on our site. We only carry those companies and products who share our standards and mission–companies like our favorite Nurture My Body.
Why Are Organic Beauty Products More Expensive?
May 10th, 2010The other day we received a letter from a potential customer mentioning they heard about our organic beauty products from a friend and were interested in purchasing them. However, much to their dismay, the price of our products were cost prohibitive for the average consumer who wishes to do what is right. This person was just trying to voice the feelings of many of the consumers that are out there looking for great organic products but have similar concerns regarding the cost.
The first thing out of my mouth was “God Bless this person.” You may be asking why I had such an unusual knee-jerk reaction? Well, instead of just sticking it to us and telling us to take a hike under their breath, this person actually took the time to write us acknowledging they know we have a great product but it’s just too much for the every-day-folk’s pocket book.
This got me thinking that maybe there are others out there considering to buy our products and wondering why we charge the higher prices that we do. So, it’s high time you know what I know.
